- pansaje
- (panzada? [pansáSa] < panza 'stomach, belly' < Latin panticem and the suffix -ada 'abundance or excess')Referenced by Watts and Blevins as a barbecue or social meal eaten in the open air. Blevins indicates that women were not invited to such gatherings until after the turn of the twentieth century. This term is not referenced in Spanish sources, but it may be related to panzada, which the DRAE defines as a bellyfull, fill or big feed.
